I bought a new boom due my old doesn’t have any straight line anywhere:

I surf it upside down to rigg it up easier – otherwise the closing claw would be at the bottom when I rigg up the sail.
And I bought a 75% rdm 370 Loft mast: I rigged it up with my 4.2 2008 Ice and it feels much more lighter – I’m looking forward to drive with it!
Funny thing the one mast ideology of north – for the 4.2 it doesn’t make sense at all – it’s a waveline so please look for performance – with the 400 mast it’s far to hard/heavy and it should be designed a little shorter for a 370!!!

Finally weekend with Levante at Culoperro – cold but windy.
VOLCAN: I was motivatged and focused on trying it – For the first time I could allmost land it Friday. Saturday I attempted 4 and No 3 almost clean. For me it’s still tricky with the 79L board – but I’ll keep going 
During the week one afternoon with some Levante at Cabopino – but there haven’t been much wind…

We made a weekend trip to Galicia. 4 days pretty cold; almost no wind; some snow
Day one: while we have been rigging up it was snowing – almost horizontal – till we have been to the water, there wasn’t sufficient wind left – so we couldn’t surf at beautiful Valdovino beach.
We have been to Ferrol (Praia do Xurxo, Praia do Valdovino), Laxe (Praia do Traba), Finisterre (Praia do Rostro) and Santiago de Compostela.
Last day at Traba: sideoff wind for more or less 5.3 and masthigh waves – it was incredible to ride these amazing waves!!!
sideoff was quite strange to ride – it’s so different for me, whilst I was always surfing side- or sideon-shore.

Valdovino: “snowsurf” (it was snowing a bit while we rigged up)
Finisterre: end of the world
Rostro: I really like it – I guess the waves are really powerful
Xurxo: perfect running waves there!
Soeste: nice beache next to Traba

suddenly there was wind raising against the bad forecast. I rigged up 5.3 and could handle the shore with almost no wind!
Then the wind was stronger and I could ride some waves and check out the frog kick – first try

A day beginning with 4.2 and then 4.7. I tried out tail grabbing and it went well – let’s make it higher and planning! Unfortunately the wind was a little bit onshore and there haven’t been that good waves…

Nice forecast for Almerimar. I started to ride with 5.3 but soon the wind came and I changed to 4.2. Finally I was riding again with the NewWave 79 and it felt like we are a team now! It was really good riding – I’ve got some waves – and the board was easygoing

For more Levant I went to Tarifa. At the Club Mistral there have been just 12 knots, so I went to Playa Chica and started surf there. With a well (over-)powered 4.7 and my new board I was surfing there till the harbor police came – porbably we can see the big ferry and it should not be dangerous…
The board was quite easygoing and I really could play around with it – but the wind was quite strong and gusty so I didn’t train something…
